SINGLE-LAYER MORTARS

Presentation

25 kg laminated paper bags.

Storage for up to 1 year in the original, unopened packaging, away from moisture.

Types of Finishes

Scraped Finish: Spread the mortar, smooth it, and let it harden until it is hard enough to stick to the scraper. Scrape the surface with a scraper or saw blade, etc. The next day, brush the surface to remove any remaining particles.

Crushed Finish: Apply a first coat of plaster and smooth it. While it is still fresh, change the nozzle and apply a thin coat of grit. Once it is hard enough, crush the ridges with a stainless steel trowel.

  Technical Data

Finish:                              Scraped or crushed

Mixing rate:                                        18 ± 2%

Coverage:                                            18±1 kg/m²

Classification according to EN 998-1                  OC CSIII W2

      Characteristics and Applications

      Features and Applications

Direct application on walls without the need for whitewashing.

      For indoor and outdoor use.

      Waterproof coating.

Permeable to water vapor, allowing the surface to breathe.

      No risk of crazing.

      Weather-resistant.

Avoid painting.Finish the facade with a decorative finish.

      Substrates

Concrete block and brick masonry. Walls and vertical partitions made of poured concrete.

Substrates must be strong, stable, clean, and free of dust, formwork residue, organic products, etc.

In case of heat and wind, or on highly absorbent substrates, moisten the substrate and wait for the surface water film to disappear.

In certain areas (interstices between different materials, slabs, pillars, shutter cages, right angles of doors and windows, etc.), the mortar must be reinforced with fiberglass mesh to prevent cracking.

On closed substrates, apply a primer (RITAFIX) or improve the roughness mechanically.

Do not apply to plaster or paint.

      Instructions

      MANUAL APPLICATION

Add water and mix manually or mechanically until a smooth, workable consistency is obtained.

Spread the mortar over the substrate using a trowel.

The thickness should be between 12 and 15 mm. Use PVC strips to support the application.

It is recommended to apply a well-compacted first layer of 2 to 3 mm, followed by the remaining material.

      MECHANICAL APPLICATION

Adjust the optimal water/mortar ratio depending on the machine chosen (hose diameter and length) and weather conditions. Start with 20% and gradually adjust until the desired consistency is achieved.

It is important to keep constant the variables that can affect the mortar's characteristics (distance from the wall, application angle, and amount of water). using a trowel.

Wait for the required time and firm down.

      Precautions and Recommendations

Do not use below 5ºC or above 30ºC.

Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong winds, or direct sunlight.

Due to variations in raw materials, single-coat colors may vary slightly.

Use on horizontal or inclined surfaces is not recommended.

For thicknesses greater than 2 cm, it is recommended to apply the product in two coats.

The final thickness must be 10 mm at all points.
